In this morning’s Lunch Alert! video, I asked the question: Did Trump’s debate win offset his raunchy and disgusting locker room tape?
Now we have the answer in today’s Rasmussen Poll — it likely did.
After having Clinton ahead by 7 points on Monday, Rasmussen — who polled on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights — now has Trump ahead by 2 in a four-way race!
We are back in the game!
How do we win from here? In our book, Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary, we have the answer.
It’s a two-step process:
1) Reform your own Party. In going after Ryan and the Republican establishment, Trump is cementing his credentials as an outsider and is reinforcing the idea of Hillary as the candidate of the establishment. Attacks on Democrats bounce off. The public expects them. But attacks against the leaders of one’s own party have a special resonance. To the media, it is a party division. To the alienated voters, it is a badge of authenticity.
2) Go After the Sanders voters. Articulate a program of social change and reform that mirrors what Sanders proposed in the primary. Armageddon outlines the specific issues to use and explains how to do it. Almost half of the Democratic primary voters opposed Hillary. Now we can reel them in.
Don’t listen to the doom and gloom. Trump can still win!
