Sheriff Joe was convicted of contempt of court for “profiling” Mexican-looking people when searching for illegal immigrants in his Arizona territory. It is ridiculous to call that racial profiling. The New York Times today said that Arpaio was guilty of believing that Hispanics are more likely to commit crimes. When the crime is illegal immigration, of course, they are!
