#8217;t that bad. We need a fighter as the nominee and one who has positioned himself correctly on each issue. That nominee is Newt in my view.

As for Newt’s perceived lack of stability, are we ignoring the fact that he orchestrated a Republican takeover of the House, which hadn’t happened since 1954? To accomplish such a feat, Gingrich had to step on people’s toes. That’s the type of guy I want to win the nomination because he has the tools that are needed to unseat Obama.

Fox News Poll: Voters Back Path to Citizenship for Illegal Immigrants

Romney has taken too hard of a line on immigration. If he wins the nomination, he will have enormous difficulty beating Obama. Newt was wise to soften his stance on immigration.

Romney has some glaring weaknesses that people are not yet considering in the current “electability” polls. I don’t think that his steadiness can overcome his policy weaknesses in the general election. After all, Barack Obama is steady too and his poll numbers quite frankly aren’t that bad. We need a fighter as the nominee and one who has positioned himself correctly on each issue. That nominee is Newt in my view.

Patriot06 is a closet Democrat, that’s what he just admitted to. Either that, or a real un-American bigot who hates Romney only because he is a Mormon……a man who follows the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. I hope you do vote for Obama, Patriot06. You will vote among liberals who like the way things are right now.

Obama sold himself so well as a “centrist” to the independents and the centrist/moderate Republican voters in this country. Yet, he has been nothing but a socialist who is blaming the GOP for not helping job creation, but is now sticking to his environmentalist BS that disallows the pipeline creating over 20,000 jobs. So much for that speech with the Ohio bridge behind him.

Romney sold himself well to Massachusetts and acted as mostly a conservative governor. He never raised taxes. He balanced the budget, got a surplus as well. He was tough on illegal immigration there.

Oh well, I guess not all conservatives can be smart enough to understand all of this. Well, not that Patrio06 is a conservative if he practically admitted to wanting Obama over Romney.

Mr. Morris I must take issue with you regarding Newt Gingrich. During the years of Gingrich you were working with the Clinton administration and I wonder what your definition of “Conservative” is. I don’t think it is the same as mine. To his credit, Mr. Gingrich helped to get the “balanced budget” legislation passed through Congress three times. The first two times Bill Clinton vetoed the bills. The third time it passed Bill Clinton signed it into law but he indicated that he did not agree with the bill and that he was signing it under duress because so many American voters wanted it. A year later Bill Clinton was calling himself the president for fiscal responsibilty because the bill was so successful. This “balanced Budget” legislation is what most people associate with Newt Gingrich – it is what people like yourself use to define him as a “conservative”. However, this was not the only thing that Newt Gingrich did during his time in Congress. Many of his “acheivements” in Congress could never be considered “Conservative” or within the limits of our Constitution. I would ask those who have taken the time to watch your video and read the comments to take a few extra minutes to watch the following video and decide for themselves whether Newt is truly a conservative. http://vimeo.com/6445068

His policy on illegal immigration should serve as a warning of what may come under a Gingrich presidency.
    Many in this country consider illegal immigration to be a minor problem and agree with Newt that we must be “humane”. But they are also worried about out of control government spending. I would urge you all to think about the following;
It is estimated that between 11-22 billion is spent per year on welfare to illegals http://www.fairus.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=16985&security=1601&news_iv_ctrl=1017

22 billion is spent yearly on foodstamps and school lunches for illegals
    http://www.cis.org/node/54

2.5 billion is spent per year on Medicaid for illegals
    http://www.cis.org/node/54

12 billion per year is spent on primary and secondary education for illegals
17 billion per year is spent on primary and secondary education of “anchor babies”.
3 million dollars per day is spent per day to incarcerate illegals
30% of inmates in prisons are illegals.
90 billion per year is spent on Welfare and social services for illegals.
200 billion per year in suppressed American wages are caused by illegals.
During 2005 over 4 million illegals crossed our border – over 19000 came from terrorist countries.
In 2006 illegals sent over 45 billion dollars home to their countries of origin.
Over 1 million sex crimes have been committed by illegals over the last few years.
The above claims that I have no verification website were at one time posted at http://transcripts.cnn..com/TRANscriptS/0606/12/ldt..01.HTML.
CNN has removed those postings for obvious reasons.
Street gangs made up of mostly illegals inhabit virtually every metropolitan area of our country. For example Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13)one of the most brutal gangs of all has a presence in 41 states. We cannot have a candidate that is soft on this issue. Many in this country think this is just a problem for Southwestern states. Wake Up America!! Google “Hispanic Gangs” the find the gangs in your area that are distributing drugs in your schools. We cannot afford to have a president who is soft on this issue.

I would like to add one more brief comment. In my view Michele Bachmann is the only candidate that resembles a conservative. However, I must be realistic. Unless something very dramatic or unexpected happens she will probably not win the nomination. In the last election American voters were manipulated and tricked into voting for a slick candidate that was a great speaker. They will undoubtedly do the same again. If any American voter had done a little reasearch or bothered to read Obama’s books they would never have voted for him. Instead they chose to watch the mainstream media and fell for all the hype. I have no doubt that they will again get caught up in meaningless unsubstantiated diversions thrown at them by the mainstream news media and be duped again. If Romney wins I will hold my nose and vote for him. If Gingrich wins I will hold my nose a little tighter and vote for him. I will not stay home and not vote. Even a RINO is better than Obama.

My greatest concern with Newt is “why” he’s finding this new man within himself? Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I still think we should be held accountable for what did yesterday. There’s no doubt this guy has a brilliant mind, but my greatest fear is in why he’s changed his point of view on so MANY different topics. We need him as a VP, but the idea of him sitting in the big chair makes me even more worried over what he’d change his mind over once he’s charge. An educated man knows when to change his point of view. A well grounded man doesn’t need too since he got it right the first time around.
