OBAMA’S POLL NUMBERS DROP

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann

President Obama has crossed the red line in his dropping approval rating.

The percentage of Americans who strongly or somewhat approve of how he is doing his job has fallen to 51 percent in the latest Rasmussen polling — the lowest ever. Because Obama got 52 percent of the vote in the presidential race, defeating McCain by 52-47, the fact that his approval has dropped below his vote share indicates that he is actually shedding real support for the first time.

Until this drop, all Obama was doing was losing McCain voters. Now he is losing his own. It didn’t really matter whether people who voted for McCain approved of the job Obama was doing. They were never part of his base. But now voters who pulled the lever for Obama have started to tell pollsters that they disapprove of his job performance. As he wades deeper into the healthcare reform battle, raises taxes to pay for it and pushes cap-and-trade legislation, the drop is likely to be even sharper and much, much steeper.

In our new book, Catastrophe, we highlight the reasons why Obama’s popularity will drop and why he will lose the congressional elections of 2010.

Was it the bowing to the foriegn Muslim king?

Was it the taking over of banks and auto companies?

Was it the sympathizing with terrorists?

Was it the laughing on national television at the U.S. going bankrupt and or the laughing at having put federal money into the auto industry?

Was it the “Tour To Tear Down America,” in other countries?

Was it the putting of this country into more debt, within just a few months, than any other president has done in an entire term, or two?

What did it? What was the breaking point, that has caused people to turn against him? A simple reading and understanding of Romans 13, could have saved them all, us all, a lot of problems.

The first President Bush once said that the most difficult part of being President is knowing that a wrong decision could have some severe consequences on the American public. He was referring to the economy which has a six month lag before the results of the decision are seen.

We have a shoot from the hip President who seems to be in some kind of horse race to pass every piece of liberal legislation before the economy, the American people and the 2010 Congressional elections catch up with him.

The two most highly visible programs in the government are Social Security and the Veterans Administration. One is bankrupt and the other is a travesty and tragedy for our veterans. Now we want to add health care which will dwarf these two programs. Heaven help us!!

Interesting that the economy is bad and he wants to have cap and trade and limit GM executive pay, yet his wife and kids fly on every trip wasting taxpayer’s dollars and burning fuel. Their hypocrisy is astounding.
