PUTINS INVASION BEGINS TO BACKFIRE

Poland, chastened by the vision of Russian tanks invading Georgia, has just decided to sign a deal with the United States to deploy an anti-missile system that Russia strongly opposes on its territory. The ruling party in Poland, the Civic Assembly, won the last election, in part, by castigating the missile deal. But with Russian troops streaming across the Georgian border, it doesn’t seem like such a bad idea after all.

This is only the beginning of a backlash against Russia that will emerge in the coming months. Putin has gone too far and showed too much of who he really is. The result will be to trigger a level of defiance in the former satellite countries and in NATO that he has not anticipated. Ukraine will be admitted to NATO. American involvement with Georgia will increase. And Putin will soon find out how expensive his miscalculation was.

It is the price Putin will pay for the life he chooses. Georgia may loose the battle, but they have not lost the war.

And Putin is ensuring the election of anti-Russian leaders throughout the western world … including John McCain.

Brilliant, Mr. Putin…well played! The world can finally appreciate the Russian 25-year plan…it has worked to perfection. My complements to the KGB for playing the West like the suckers we have been.

It started with the realization that without capitalist western technology Russia would never be able to complete its ultimate economic domination of the Eurasian continent. The price of success must have been a truly jagged pill to swallow–appear to surrender the Cold War, abandon the United Soviet Socialist Republic thereby releasing former Soviet satellite countries, tolerate a re-unified Germany, and control the resurgence of capitalism. But the reward has been well worth the wait–an absolutely brilliant infusion of western technology and investment forbidden for 30 years, expert no-cost repair to their dismal oil & gas production infrastructure, creation of Russian oil & gas ventures including pipelines now ripe for their ‘nationalization’, discovery of new oil & gas reserves, establishment of a self-sufficient economy, the list goes on, and on, and on.

What a patient enemy! First Gorbachev and then Yeltsin quietly manipulating the Russian populace all without dismantling the Russian military or the KGB–how stupid could we have been? Then came Putin, the master spy and assassin. Who better to recruit the West as an asset?

NATO and Europe better get set for a thorough ass-kicking because it’s coming in spades right down the economic Fulda-gap.
