When Hillary Clinton, having lost the Democratic nomination, said that she would not “make a decision” that night, I imagined that Sonny Liston, flat on his back in Lewisboro, Maine having been knocked out by Mohammed Ali, lifting up his battered head and saying “I haven’t made a decision.” It is no longer her decision to make. It is Obama’s decision to make. Hillary’s speech seemed to portray her has having a power she did not have. The primary is over. She has lost. Apparently noone has told her that it is no longer a question of what she wants. Earth to Hillary: Its over.

Maybe Clinton plans to take her quest for the Vice-Precidency to the floor of the convention.
My hatt off to you Dick Morris…..you called this outcome months ago. I can’t wait to see you appear on some of these talks shows and watch these pundts eat crow. Hillary played all of her political cards; the race card; the electability card; the religious card, etc…Now she is going to use the “popular vote” card to position herself and bring pressure to bear on Obama for her now “entitled position” as the running mate for Obama……and I’m sure that Harold Icke and Lanny Davis and other major financial supporters will be filing petitions with the DNC to support that issue.
Hillary had the opportunity to add validity and sincereity to her agenda for party unification last night in her speech in New York. Instead, she extended the wound on Obama by refusing to concede…less than a lady, more of a politican…and the less of a lady is in question. You were so right in a previous article…….it is all about winning and all about the Clintons. Dynastities don’t last forever, and “time” has a way changing the face of the world and politics without even trying.
You were brillant in your analysis and predictions……and this should add to your already established credibility and market value. Now that you made the right call…..I would assume that you will be into the strategy business……I’m sure that you phone is already ringing. I look forward to the days ahead to read and watch you on all issues and of course the general election. You are looking great……and who know……it might be Morris and O’Reily. Love how you get you shots in (Hannity and Colmes) and credit for doing so. You are a “giant” among me Dick……continued success.

bolafson: The only quest that Hillary will take to the floor…..is her mop…
Unfortunately, Senator McCain makes President Bush sound like Robepierre in regard to his ability to inspire would-be followers.
In this age of verbal communication, one can only hope that John McCain will get the help he desparetly needs to improve his speaking skills.
His speech last night was dreadful. Especially when compared to the Clinton and Obama offerings.
Amazing that this is the best Republicans can offer.
Good Grief!
OK This is embarassing….. IF I was a Hillary supporter I think I would be saying to myself “now you are crossing the line”! Dick, can you explain to me just WHAT she is up to now? How can a fighter be KO and still lay on the floor 24 hours later? Guess I am missing something.
sarasota2001. It is interesting observation. I’m just speculating here and not be [anti] anything, but I believe that McCain is having lapses of memory…..Somehwat sad……but we all will at some point and time experience “senior moments”……it is just some of us will have more than others…..and another when McCain is the youngest person at his town hall meetings……..it is a message…
John McCain can’t do anything about his age so he will have stay on message and speak however effectively from his soul. This is not the time for an expedition by the liberal left while we are engaged with an enemy in a religious war. My wife and I are both veterans who wondered about an actor named Reagan whose age made us pause. We voted for him knowing that Mondale was a loser and what a wonderful supporter of the military he turned out to be.
Obama can only lose more ground with me and McCain can only gain.
As far as Hillary goes I believe like others have said. HRC wants 3 things: (1) to be asked to be VP so she can decline, (2) to have her Mark Antony moment in Denver in front of the world (I come not to praise Obama but to endorse him for President), and (3) to get Obama to pay her campaign debts. Her focus is on 2012 if Barry Obama loses which she will try to assist as she mimics Willy Boy’s lackluster support of John Kerry in ‘04.
